In desperate moments, it won't hesitate to use unwitting Caterpie as makeshift clubs for self-defense. It tries not to damage its impromptu weapon too much.
Catervee is most often seen in the wild during the autumn season, indulging in feasts of fallen and dried leaves. Some people have taken to using Catervee as an easier way to clear their yard of foliage.
It has a strong appetite for fresh leaves straight from the branches. A hungry Caterdactyl can strip a verdant tree bare in about an hour.
Caterring are often employed by high-end restaurants for their pleasant demeanor and surprising professionalism. They are easily compensated as well, only asking for a nice plate of fresh leaves after a job well-done.
If two Cateragon spy the same leaf, they will headbutt each other to battle over who will eat the meal. Their stubborn nature means the leaf is often snatched by another Pokémon while the Cateragon duke it out.
It combines Voltorb's self-destructive tendencies with Electrode's enhanced power stores. Voltode's smug grin reflects its explosive potential and the ego fed by the fear it inspires.
Care must be taken after a Volttini sheds its skin, as the discarded layer is still volatile. Improper handling will lead to it bursting into a shower of sparks.
A Volttata is considered highly dangerous: it gnaws on electrical wires to siphon electricity, but if it consumes too much at one time, it will explode and cause greater damage.
As a warning, it shakes its tail to make a low rumble of rattling noises, sparks flying from the tip. If the warning is ignored, it strikes the ground near the agitator, creating an explosion.
When curled up, it looks nearly identical to a normal Voltorb. It pranks groups of Voltorb by hiding among them, then uncurling to send them flying with its trunk.
Voltsey enjoys helping Trainers catch other Pokémon, somehow producing a variety of Poké Balls on its own to share. To the chagrin of many, there are no records of a Voltsey that can create Master Balls.
Rival Voltshrew in the wild curl into balls and roll at each other to establish dominance. If these displays last long enough, their combined electricity may produce sparks and even lightning.
Voltvoir contains vast amounts of electricity, seen crackling within certain parts of its body. Should something threaten its Trainer, it will not hesitate to discharge explosive bursts of lightning to defend them.
Factories once tested using Voltink as generator parts due to their high stores of electricity. This experiment was quickly put to rest after incidents of Voltink exploding while inside the machines.
It flies through the air, gnashing at anything close. If it latches its fangs onto something, it creates a small explosion with enough force to propel itself backwards.
Workers in electric plants are always on the lookout for Voltfisk. It's considered highly dangerous due to being easy to overlook and step on, whereupon it explodes with great force.
It buries itself into the soil in order to absorb nutrients from the dirt around it. If anything touches the leaves that remain above ground, it will explode in self-defense.
Great caution must be taken in the presence of Voltlix, as it can extend floss-thin tendrils out around it that carry massive voltage levels to shock anything that earns its ire.
Electrtung uses its massive tongue to discharge excess electricity to avoid becoming bloated and ill. Some hospitals have even used them as living defibrillators.
Each segment of Electrlix's body is capable of exploding with tremendous force. Triggering one sets off the rest in a devastating chain reaction.
The central head of Electrdrio contains all of the electricity in its body, as well as all the aggression. This leaves the other two heads very wary of setting it off in any way.
What looks like a tongue is actually part of the amorphous insides of Exeggtung. It can grow, shrink, and reshape this appendage for a variety of purposes.
A yolk-like ooze surrounds the egg-shaped core of the body. Whenever it morphs, this core is always faintly visible somewhere in its transformed form.
The eggs it produces serve as its own special paint for creating murals. If it runs out of its current batch, it can use the fluid inside its head, though this causes visible discomfort.
It constantly creates more yolk-like fluid within, offering it to others to sample. Those that drink it develop faint psychic powers for a few hours afterward.
The six faces on its body allow it to be aware of its surroundings at all times. The yolk-like substance it secretes from its head is said to grant a person a glimpse into the spirit realm when consumed.
Cuorb's hide is vulnerable, so it uses skulls it finds as makeshift armor for protection. Using some of its electric energy, it lifts and flings other discarded bones as projectiles for added defenses.
The skull it carries is a tragic keepsake it cannot even wear properly. Its large size and appetite is theorized to be the result of using food as a coping mechanism for its sadness.
Some theorize Cutwo is one of the last discarded failed attempts at creating Mewtwo, that managed to cling to life after being rejected. It has a cold, emotionless personality, except in battle, where it releases its boundless rage.
Cudile keeps the bones left behind from meals to use as tools in battle. Between meals and fights it gnaws on the bone club to keep its teeth maintained, as well as staving off boredom.

Tales exist that say Cutomb is an entire generations' worth of Cubone and Marowak spirits tied to the same skeleton. Despite the frightening appearance, Cutomb is surprisingly gentle and kind to those unafraid of it.
It appears to be a reanimated Milotic skeleton buried beneath sand and old seaweed. It hunts by pretending to be simple scenery, before leaping out and attacking prey with the sharp ends of its bones.
It wears the skull of another unfortunate Diglett on its head for protection. Culett was first discovered after sightings of "Diglett ghosts" became increasingly more common.
Cura defends itself from multiple angles with the telekinetically controlled bones of deceased Marowak. In serious situations, it reforms the entire skeleton to battle an opponent alongside it.
It feels angry and forlorn, though it cannot remember the reason why. It finds some tranquility when in the presence of Slowpoke and Cubone families.

The screws at the bottom of Hitmonmite's body are much longer than they seem, able to extend far outward at high speed as an attack. Though small, these "kicks" carry enough power to send a Golem flying.
Its feet can operate freely from the main body, allowing it to launch kicking attacks from long distances at any angle. They must return to it to recharge periodically, however, or risk falling out of the sky and becoming useless until retrieved.
Above and especially beneath the waters, Hitmoneel delivers a strong kick with the swing of its tail. After winning a match, it claps its arms and feet together in celebration of victory.
Hitmonlee uses its retractable and stretchy legs to maintain balance while ducking and weaving from an opponent's blows. They also allow it to take positions that let it punch from unorthodox angles.
Hitmondour has firm protective plating formed around the head, so that its skull is guarded against opponents and other Hitmondour it trains with. Humanity may have taken inspiration from it when creating boxing safety gear.
Hitmonpass's gloves contain powerful magnets, propelling them forward once they've locked onto a foe. Hitmonpass floats back and forth as it waits for its opponent to strike, magnetically repelling itself to dodge before delivering a devastating counter.
A pugilistic pup with a penchant for punches, Hitmonolu powers up its aura through fisticuffs. In particularly intense training bouts or battles, its fists may even begin emitting aura with each swing.
It trains itself by flying above and striking others with its fist-feet. Because of its small stature, the strikes are viewed more as a considerable nuisance than actually painful.
Hitmonbat never uses its fangs while hunting, only its fists. It fights prey one-on-one, and only deigns to sink its teeth and draw blood if it has knocked an opponent out in a straightforward bout.
Its frozen fists chill the air around it, forming ice whenever it throws a punch. It is said that even the hottest of Fire-Type Pokémon will be frozen solid from getting hit by even a single jab.

Hitmonler often taunts an opponent by beating its chest, daring a foe to take the first hit. Those that fall for the gambit find themselves hit by a punishing counter from Hitmonler's four fists.
Though its punches are already potent, Hitmonmite excels in fighting Steel-type opponents. It shifts the polarity of its fists so they magnetize toward the target, increasing the speed and force it can punch metallic foes with.
Hitmonton can fire two of its fist-like components outward as long-distance punching attacks. Attached magnets ensure they quickly return, ready to be launched again.
Hitmonster are constantly seen closed and at rest, their tough shell and sharp spikes deterring most predators. Those who attempt to forcefully pry open the shell will see it open suddenly to launch a devastating punch from within.
Thanks to a hive mind, any flavor one egg's tongue comes across, the others will taste as well. Should one of the clutch find something particularly delicious, the entire group will swarm and lick it intensely from all sides.
If something piques its interest, it will charge towards it, intent on licking it thoroughly. It will bowl over anything unfortunate enough to get between it and its target.

It struts slowly in the afternoon heat, precisely positioning its wings before flapping in place. The warmth it gathers from the sunlight expedites its evolution process.
It gathers ambient static from the air with the bristles at the end of its wings. When threatened, Metacorio electrifies its shell as a deterrent. Its evolution process is halted while the shell is electrified.
It rests in windy areas to await its evolution, where the breeze stimulates its psychic energy. If the winds grow too forceful, it uses telekinesis to hold steady, hampering its evolution speed.

A young Kangasther does not have blades at birth, so the defenseless joey clings to its parent's back at all times. Kangasther uses the soft hum of its wingbeat to lull the child to sleep at night.
Part of Kangasto divided and became its young. The child can only transform its face at first, so the parent tutors it in the ways of shapeshifting until its mimicry can become perfect.
Though Kangaswoodo prefers to remain still, its curious child often hops out of the pouch to explore, forcing it to give chase. The young cries and pouts when Kangaswoodo lifts it back into the pouch.
It works in tandem with its young to search for sweet fruits and nectar in forests. Once they have found a good source of food, the child will be allowed to gorge itself first before the parent eats what is left.

It ferries humans across the waters happily, defending them with ink shots from its mouth. Horras Trainers sometimes play games of tag this way, seeing which Horras can hit the other with ink first.
At first, Horfish was thought to be poisonous due to the liquid dripping from its spines. It's actually more ink so that Horfish can deploy vast amounts around it to make underwater smokescreens.

Should Jynduck's headache intensify, the psychic surge around it compels all affected to begin dancing for several minutes. Jynduck always seems confused by this development.
The jewel on its forehead gleams and shines as it dances. Should one stare too deeply at it, they will be caught in the rhythm, forced to copy the movements until Jynduck has finished its dance.
It is a common ritual for Jynpoke, after successfully catching a fish, to dance in celebration of securing a meal. On occasion, it may forget to actually eat the fish after the dance concludes.

Magiros are a placid and weak species that tend to wander aimlessly across plains and farmland, grazing without thought or care. Touching its whiskers will send it into a thrashing rage.
Magichou's body is rotund and squishy, requiring electric whiskers for protection. Unfortunately, its electric power is so weak that an attacking predator would feel no more than a faint static tingle, leaving Magichou effectively defenseless.

Found in the mud of drained lakebeds, Magifisk is considered one of the most pitiful Pokémon in terms of both strength and appearance. Even as food, they are considered bland and tacky at best.
Though it has ferocious, aggressive tendencies, Magivanha's small teeth are incapable of piercing skin. Unable to properly hunt as a result, it bitterly resorts to being an undersea scavenger instead.
Magith is commonly found at the bottom of wishing wells. Some think it believes the coins within contain "wish energy", and that it wants to use that energy to wish to evolve sooner.
It will tug its whiskers during battle in order to enhance the normally weak psychic emanations it produces for its attacks. This leaves it with a splitting headache afterward, however.
It has weak swimming capabilities, and even the poison of its stingers is incredibly mild, useless for defense. Magicool often ends up washed up on shore, staring pathetically at passersby.
When at rest, it plays with the whiskers on its face for amusement. Based on reports of Magipoke trying to consume or pull off these whiskers, it's thought that Magipoke does not realize they are a part of its body.
It comes onto land to rest, as swimming for too long leaves its muscles weak and exhausted. Observers find its tired and pitiful panting on land rather endearing.
Magider latches onto Slowpoke tails like Shellder, though no evolution takes place. Instead, Magider uses its host as a way of migrating to a new body of water to reside in, as its own swimming capability is quite weak.
Though overall weak, its claws have a strong gripping power. It often uses them to hitch a ride on larger Pokémon while they hunt, grabbing and eating whatever scraps remain afterward.
Still physically frail, it evolved extra stingers that secrete and coat the wings with a fine poison to deter predators who would hunt it. Wrapping itself in its wings akin to a cocoon is a typical defensive maneuver.
Weether's scythes secrete the same poison found in its horn, used for self-defense. Though mild, it only takes a single light cut for the poison to take effect and result in strong bouts of nausea and dizziness.
The horns on its head and tail secrete a very mild poison. The poison's effects vary depending on its surroundings: burning, dehydration, paralysis, blindness, light sensitivity, chills, rashes and numbness have all been reported.
Electric power is stored and concentrated within its stingers. As a show of intimidation towards predators, it taps the two stingers together, causing sparks to fly out around it.
Weetata has a strong sense of smell, able to sniff out its preferred food from many yards away. Weetata fights for food and territory by battling one another using the stinger on its tail.
It stores static electricity in its stinger until it's ready to make a surprise strike on an unsuspecting victim. The jolt is still incredibly minor and rarely regarded as anything more than a momentary nuisance.
The mushrooms are no longer deadly to the host, but are now quite poisonous if consumed. This seems to have had the interesting side-effect of making Weeras no longer able to secrete poison from its horn.
Due to its strong sense of smell, sneaking up on Weera before it teleports away is near impossible. It is docile enough to be lured close with its favorite type of leaf, however.
The marks on its leaves were thought to be signs of illness, until research found that Weesprout occasionally nibbles its own leaves. This seems to cause no harm, and its leaves grow back if fully consumed.
Gyarasea hunts small fish with a combination of stealth and ferocity. It blinds prey with ink while hiding among kelp, before swimming quickly and snatching it up with its vicious bite.
It has a ferocious and vindictive attitude towards all it comes across, but aside from a nasty bite, it is largely unremarkable and ineffective. It tends to act more passively in the presence of Magikarp.
If two Gyararas meet, they will fight to the death, no matter what. It's thought that their aggressive and independent instincts are so great that Gyararas actively seek to be the last, and only, of their kind.
Many a tale has been passed down amongst sailors about Gyarallery. Should a ship run afoul of it, it will chase it down across entire oceans, not resting until it sends the boat sinking to the briny deep.
Many have claimed the secret to taming a Gyaratine is to climb on its back and pull its whiskers like reins. Pokémon Centers and hospitals regularly put out PSAs to discourage this idea.
It has a most vicious, destructive nature towards anything that catches its ire, even slightly. With its speed and strength, it has torn entire ships to shreds in seconds.
Gyaraduck is perpetually angry and violent due to the pain of its constant headaches. The stronger the headache, the more intense its rampage; a strong enough migraine can even make it release a massive Hyper Beam.
Gyaraduck is a highly adept swimmer, capable of swimming across entire oceans in a few hours. Its speed and ferocity are enough to let it hunt Sharpedo on a regular basis.
It looks fierce, but Gyarawag is fairly harmless, as its fangs are soft and unable to pierce skin. It's not uncommon to see it clinging to larger Pokémon with its mouth, stubbornly trying and failing to do any damage.
Gyaracruel is referred to as "The Devouring One" in some ancient legends. What appear to be tentacles are actually multiple tongues, which deliver paralyzing venom before dragging prey into its hungry maw.
Sometimes, Gyarapoke will throw a tantrum, thrashing its tail and gnashing its teeth wildly for little reason. It then forgets why it was angry, and begins a lengthy nap to recover the wasted energy.
Gyaragong is playful towards humans, but still remains a merciless hunter on land or sea. Many admit to being perturbed seeing it change so seamlessly from friendly to fierce and back.

Lapizard is fiercely protective of humanity. Rivalries develop amongst its own kind as different Lapizard battle to see which of them is more fit to be guardian to humans in their territory.
When it charges, it won't stop until it hits a wall. The impact causes its malleable gelatinous body to distort, leaving Dithorn misshapen and disoriented for a few moments.
A very curious Pokémon, Ditown communicates with others by forming its body into letters and symbols. According to Trainers, it adores playing games of charades.
A common, somewhat joking theory about Ditking's existence is that it's the result of a Ditto copying Slaking so perfectly, it became too lazy to change back to normal.
It's thought that the type of vegetation Eedle eats affects its evolutionary direction, as it has a noticeable shift in appetite, preferring specific types of plants shortly before it evolves.
Eedrill are quite affectionate and will often swarm after something to hug and nuzzle it. They seem unaware that their appearance hurtling towards another at high speed could be seen as disconcerting.
The flaps around Eeco's face can easily and painlessly break off and regrow. Though considered tough and flavorless, some have found a use for them as chew toys for some small Pokémon.
When living in an area that would help induce evolution, Eetler's fur will change hue slightly, and its antlers will gain additional attributes, such as a layer of frost, flames at the tips or electric sparks, among others.
The flame sac within its body allows it to super-heat any water it produces and expels. In battle, it can fire boiling hot water or bursts of scalding steam to leave foes badly burnt.
Its ears move and twitch slightly as it picks up on ambient changes in electricity nearby. On occasion, an arc of electricity passes between them.
It generates constant steady electricity through the turning of its two gears. Ongoing research suggests that Joltink may be able to recharge depleted Thunder Stones.
As Flapod gets closer to evolving, its shell radiates more and more heat from within. The tufts of fur igniting signals the process is nearing completion.
The joey is kept warm in the pouch, which is heated by an internal flame sac. The parent uses flame breath too cook food for the child, and cook anybody who gets too close to it.
One should never attempt to touch the stone on Flaros's head, as doing so will send it into an immediate rage. It will coat itself in raging flame before charging into anything and everything nearby until it calms down.
Its large size, warmth and friendly disposition make Flalax a popular pet for those who can afford to feed its prodigious appetite. It emits enough heat from its body that many like to use it in lieu of a fireplace for warmth.
Flalass is a welcome sight for those traversing frigid mountainsides. It guides them to its home and warms them with its fluffy embrace until they feel ready to tackle to cold once more.

It makes a soft hoot periodically, an act done to regulate its internal temperature as it evolves. When evolution draws nearer, the hooting increases dramatically in frequency.
Not very mobile, Kakchu spends time storing energy, waiting for evolution to finish. If a predator draws near, it releases a bright burst of electric energy to blind the foe so Kakchu can escape.
It has extraordinary airspeed and maneuverability to avoid predators, its wings never resting. Because it takes so much energy to maintain this flight technique, its evolution process is massively extended compared to most Kakuna fusions.
It remains almost entirely immobile to conserve energy, hoping its appearance alone will frighten off predators. If that fails, it can still use its stored energy to make at least one strong lunge and potent bite.
Kakchu's cocoon is multilayered, as each electric burst it uses to deter predators vaporizes the outermost shell. It grows new layers to replace them, though this process delays its evolution.
It buries itself in the sand in shallow waters until only its antennae stick out. Should it sense anything getting too close to it, water spouts shoot from the antennae to knock away intruders.
Kakdum gather in small swarms so they can stick together in piles on the forest floor. The proximity allows for better defenses; if the pile is under attack, they can unite their psychic powers to fend off the aggressor.
Since its cocooned body has no means of attack, its only defense is to fly away from danger. The exertion from flying its heavier body around delays its evolution process.
It burrows into the ground, leaving the leaves on its head exposed. These are a deterrent, as between the hardness of its shell, the bitter taste, and the mild poison, few will bother trying to eat it.
Kakth scrounges around for discarded coins to consume. Science isn't yet sure how, but eating large amounts of coins seems to expedite its evolution process slightly.

Its large horn is good for tearing bark off of trees, but is predominantly used against rival Heraran. They butt heads and horns equally in disputes over food, territory and mates.
Once it sinks its fangs into a tree, it refuses to let go until it's had its fill. If Herabat is not forcibly removed, it may drain a tree completely of its nutrients and leave it a wilting husk.
The many claws near its neck let it attach to trees to better eat the sweet sap from their bark. It is a curious sort, and seems unaware of its size and stature potentially being frightful to smaller creatures.
It bashes its horn against trees to dig and pry its way within to get to the sweet sap within. The taste of the sap helps soothe the pain of the headache it gets from using its horn.

Jolzee puts large swaths of targets to sleep so it can more easily take static electricity from their bodies to feast on. The victims being fed on often report dreaming of spiders, lightning, or some combination thereof.
Though it prefers to remain motionless at all times, Ferrowoodo can defend itself by throwing the spiked orbs on its hands akin to shuriken. The thrown orbs grow back in a few hours.
The whisker-like protrusions are actually a pair of proboscis pointed enough to dig into solid stone. It clings to cave walls, digs into the rock and siphons minerals from within for its nutrition.
In order to ensure its safety while it evolves, Ferroelgon evolved spikes as well as a durable shell around it. However, the extra defenses cause its evolution process to take longer than a normal Shelgon.
Its spiky and robust body gives it adequate defenses, yet it still possesses a jumpy temperament. It leaves small pointed spikes behind as it flees, discouraging a hunter's continued pursuit.
It uses the large horn on its head to carve markings into trees, denoting things such as areas with dangerous predators or particularly lush food stores. Should the horn snap off, a new one grows back in a week.
Golebat can be observed flying set paths within the caverns it calls home, as if on patrol. It can stun and confuse attackers by flashing lights from the symbols on its wings and chest.
Urban areas are seeing an uptick in Fletchtata populations, particularly in Unova. Friendly and prone to singing cute songs amongst its siblings, Fletchtata has become a popular pet.
With both its wings and legs still developing, Fletchta exhibits a bit of a complex, displaying aggressive behavior. It snorts out steam and spits flame at anybody it sees, attempting to pick fights.
Golorb's body is mostly comprised of its large mouth, leaving little room for other organs. It is thought this is why it has a relatively small appetite despite its size.
It scrapes the edges of its wings across its skull to sharpen them into deadly points, letting it cut prey as it flies past multiple times until they succumb to their wounds and it can feast on the pooling blood.
The inside of its mouth is warm and soft, and its body rather durable, making it perfect for protecting and incubating eggs. Daycares and Breeders have taken to using them to keep especially precious eggs safe from harm.
Though it may look frightening, Golfree is not aggressive towards humans. It's large mouth is for consuming vast quantities of flowers whole for their honey and other nutrients.
It transforms its extended tongue into an imitation of its prey. Once another member of the species draws near, it quickly transforms back, wrapping around the hapless victim and dragging it into Golto's hungry maw.
Goluna's fangs are retractable, remaining hidden from sight until it spots potential prey. It swoops quickly and sinks its teeth into victims, draining their blood for nutrients that will hasten its evolution.
Many describe the sights of Goltini shedding its skin as disturbing, as its head will protrude from within the mouth of the layer being shed before it can escape its old skin.
Goldrill are a highly aggressive species found swarming deep in cave systems. Their stingers are so sharp and their attacks so quick and ferocious that even Steelix and Aggron are wary of their nests.
Though it has no visible teeth, Golret still "bites" others as a form of mischievous play. After annoying its chosen victim, it flies off to hide in narrow spaces, tucking its wings to help it squeeze in.
Should one be under attack by a Golicate, the best course of action is to aim for its whiskers. Extremely sensitive and important for maintaining aerial balance, it will immediately retreat if they are touched.
It hides in darkness, waiting to frighten prospective victims with a loud screech. Those who strike it in defense are hit with a stunning counter blow, incapacitating them so that Golbuffet may feed on their blood.
In the dark of night, Golring forages for its favorite foods, honey and the juiciest of berries. Trainers have been accidentally frightened off by the sight of Golring's long tongue dripping bright red berry juice.
Its powerful serpentine body will constrict prey, before sinking its fangs in and gorging itself on blood. Once completely drained of blood, it disposes the prey's husk in its gaping maw.
Golki acts as a perch for Zubat to safely rest upon between hunts. Since its unique body makes hunting for itself difficult, the Zubat share some of the prey they grab with it in exchange for its service.
Should it come across a sleeping Pokémon or Trainer, it will stand near and protect them while they slumber. It inhales large amounts of air through its massive mouth and expands its body to intimidate foes.
Its mouth and tongue grew before the rest of its body did, making flying and hunting difficult. Should it catch prey, it gorges on massive amounts of blood so it can go weeks before needing to feast again.
Golseed hunts by diving into crowds of smaller prey and firing poisonous spikes from its body. It then feasts on those struck down by its toxins while the rest flees in fear.
The mushroom infesting it has given it a taste for tree life as well as blood. Once it latches onto a victim, plant or otherwise, it will drain all their nutrients until all that remains is a husk.
During its raging tantrums, Golape will pummel foes into submission before draining blood via its sharp fangs. Once it's had its fill of blood, it becomes remarkably placid until it becomes hungry again.
Golchoke hones itself in the art of grappling, using its incredibly strong arms to take hold of opponents with a crushing grip. Once it has a victim in its grasp, it drains their blood, growing stronger while they grow weaker.
Its four powerful arms allow Golchamp to crush most foes with ease. It fasts for long periods of time, as it only wishes to drink the blood of those worthy enough to give it a good fight.
Its wings are not strong enough to easily lift the weight of its body and the heavy Shellder together. Golbro does not realize this, and will spend several minutes flapping futilely before giving up, and taking a nap.
Goluk's fangs are no more solid than the rest of it, and thus are not ideal for biting and puncturing the skin of foes. Their main purpose is to help with intimidation tactics to scare off intruders in its domain.
Prey that wanders too near a waiting Golster will find itself seized by a long tongue, then dragged within its mouth before it clamps down. Few can escape once its mouth has closed shut.
It purposefully throws itself onto land in order to hunt. Pretending to be helpless out of the water, it waits until something attempts to touch it before jolting them with electricity, then flopping back to sea with its new prey in tow.
Its poor vision leaves it with a skittish demeanor. If it senses something nearby, it will surge electricity around itself in defense to stun the interloper and allow it to flee.
When closed, its mouth helps complete a protective shell around its head. Timid despite its imposing appearance, Whirlibull will bite attackers with its powerful jaws, while also delivering poison from the tips of its fangs.
Great care must be taken in raising Tydour, as though affectionate to owners their massive jaw strength means that even a playful bite from it could be disastrous to property or person.
The leader of a Tydoom pack is decided by combat. Because it is arrogant and a sore loser, some packs spend more time fighting over leadership than hunting.
It is petulant and selfish, believing anything it wants rightfully belongs to it. It can tear open even metal surfaces with its upper jaw in order to get to something it desires.
It tries to look ferocious and intimidating, but fails due to its large eyes and goofy gait when it walks. Even attempts to roar at foes fall flat, as instead of an angry bellow, there is only a honking quack.
When its tail catches something, it drops the prey in front of it and roars at it in triumph. After roaring, it forgets about the hunt completely, allowing the prey to escape back into the water.
Despite sharing the same body and stomach, the two heads of Tyby are selfishly greedy. They often fight over a single morsel rather than eat two separate, more filling meals.
Some believe that Tyrancargo is the result of a meteor from space impacting and merging with an ancient Pokémon. Analyzing the rock would have great scientific value, but Tyrancargo allows no one to touch its shell.
Tyranqueen considers all other Pokémon as its subjects, needing to be protected by a stronger apex being. Its protective instinct is well-needed when its kingly counterpart is near.
Though its movements are stiff, its claws are strong enough to tear apart trees with ease. When it expels air through its nose, it sounds like a low roar.
Tyranking is a brutal tyrant of a Pokémon intent on subjugating all others beneath its power and rule. The only way to keep it in check is with the presence of a queenly counterpart.
According to research, Tyranlem's mating habits coincided with its yearly shedding of its stone shell. Fossil records indicate the shed stones were used to nest the vulnerable young.
Its top speed is mediocre, but Tyranta's legs are deceptively strong. It stuns much larger foes with powerful kicks, then fries them with a bellowing roar that releases a wave of flame.
The two heads selfishly fight over any captured prey, battling for the right to eat their spoils. Over time, one will grow oversized as it consistently wins these fights for food, while the other slowly withers away.
Glados is a highly territorial denizen of the frigid northern seas. With its bellowing icy roar, it can freeze an entire ship solid in moments, leaving a frozen reminder of the consequences of trespassing in its domain.
It only departs from its home in cold mountain peaks to hunt and freeze prey, dragging them back to its den. It's often confused with a Pokémon from the Galar region.
Its multitude of leaves across its body allows it to photosynthesize large amounts of nutrients. It also lets it spread large amounts of pollen that can aid flower growth in areas with minimal sunlight.
Oddth can be seen collecting leaves as it roams, though none are sure what criteria it uses to judge the ones it collects. Occasionally it will even offer coins to others in exchange for leaves.
It buries itself in the ground to sleep during the day, surrounded by scattered leaves it maintains a psychic connection to. If something disturbs one of these leaves, it immediately teleports away to safety.
For defense, it rubs its body with the fluffy pom-poms to generate static electricity and shock those that touch it. If it should be caught without an electrified body, it can still always deliver a shock from the horn on its head.
One should be very careful not to anger Oridrill. Its spiked pom-poms make for deadly punches, but can also be lobbed from afar, where they will burst apart in a shower of lightning and spiked projectiles.
Oridrill is one of the more peaceable Beedrill fusions, but still highly protective of its nest. Should something come too close, the rapid flapping of its wings will send psychic waves that disorient and deter the interlopers.
It descends from the skies with a gentle and elegant flair meant to soothe the hearts of onlookers. Those that resist this relaxing aura will be punished for their insolence with devastating beams of psychic energy.
Once Oriler gets into the rhythm of its relaxing dance, nothing will stop it from completing its swaying movements. If something comes to disturb it, it picks it up with its claw and tosses it aside without missing a beat.
Oriret have been observed attending wakes, moving at a slow rhythm before rubbing themselves against the most mournful. Those who were touched swear they heard the voice of the departed speaking to them one last time.
It expels stinky smoke around it as well as occasional piles of refuse beneath it. These spots of garbage are often eaten by Trubbish and other Poison-type Pokémon.
Trubvee often digs through garbage cans looking for both food and interesting trinkets. If caught rummaging, it attempts to give away some of its findings as a peace offering.
It upturns garbage cans to look for things to snack on, making it a minor nuisance to urban areas. One can avoid a bigger mess by leaving old soda cans, its favorite treat, outside of the garbage can.
Trubth pilfers coins lost among garbage and refuse, hoarding it until its bags are full to bursting. Some bags rip and leave behind its coins, causing it to continuously hoard the same bits of change.
It's been discovered that Cardisc are highly receptive to chocolate. Ships now often carry surplus containers to toss overboard and placate schools of Cardisc to keep them from becoming aggressive.
Due to its malleable body, its skin is too smooth and its fangs too soft to cause damage. That fact it has to mimic other Pokémon to be a threat causes it no end of vexation.
Ostensibly a guardian spirit of the forest, Trekoth's swipes are slow and unenthusiastic. The most it can muster to deter unwelcome visitors is a somewhat creepy wailing cry.
It cuts down large swaths of the most pungent flowers to eat. These flowers are what give its honey such a foul stench in addition to the enjoyably sweet taste.
Glootata smears the smelly drool from its mouth within the walls of homes to signal others to come make their homes there. Because the stench is so foul, it's easy to identify a home in the midst of a Glootata infestation.
Gloobull's strong sense of smell means it gets agitated by the stench of its own flower. When it sneezes, it sprays its sticky, stinky drool all over the areas in front of it.
The foul stench of its drooling honey is lessened after it consumes large amounts of sap, so Gloocross owners often keep them well-fed to manage the smell. This has led to a mild obesity problem in domestic species.
It drools honey from its mouth to lure in prey while it remains sedentary. Even if something eats and escapes, the magnetic content of its honey allows it to use its own magnetism to draw them back to its mouth.
Although pungent, Glootik's small size makes its stench almost imperceptible to larger creatures. It marks its favored feeding spots with its smelly drool, letting other Glootik know of a good source of sustenance.
The foul stench from Glooras's twin flowers drives off friends and foes alike. The drool dripping from its mouth encourages fungal growth in the ground it drips on.
The parasitic mushroom has neutralized the organs that cause the foul scent of its drool. This allows it to leave sticky, odorless puddles around its territory to trap unsuspecting prey with.
It has a tendency to mark territory by rubbing its foul-smelling drool on objects it claims ownership of. The marking is difficult to clean and remove the stench of, making it an unpopular pet.
The combination of Gloom and Muk has created one of the most noxious-smelling Pokémon in existence. Ironically, the honey that coats its mouth is said to be one of the most delicious despite the rank odor.
As its light body is carried along by the winds, small pieces of the cloud-like matter on its body fall towards the ground. These clumps are highly sought by Pokémon possessing a sweet tooth.
It has a spirited and combative personality, always eager to spar with others. Because its arms and fists are made of clouds, its punches don't pack much power.
The stick it carries is tipped with a cloudy substance it regularly produces. It offers this up to those it is close to; the flavor of the cottony confection is powerfully sweet.
It can spread a paralyzing toxic powder from its wings to stun anything it flies over. Vilefree does this in order to ensure it has no competition in finding the sweetest honey and nectar to gorge upon.
Dhelbas appears to reside near the wreckage of sunken ships. It hides amongst the debris out of sight, before using seaweed-like tendrils to ensnare small unwary prey.
Dheldisc blows small heart-shaped bubbles at others of its kind to communicate. Old sailors' tales say Dheldisc was born from the spirits of couples lost at sea.
Dhelcool cloaks itself in intimidating detritus and skulls to give itself an imposing, deadly appearance. Some think it's overcompensating for its rather meager strength and toxin.
The type of flavors Hawltung tastes before a fight influence its combat style: sweet for defensive, spicy for offensive, etc. Many Hawltung Trainers work tirelessly to find meals with the perfect flavor combo to create the perfect fighting style.
Its vines can shape and extend to some extent, giving it more range for strikes and grapples than a first glance would suggest. It will even shape its vines into taunting or victorious gestures to psych out opponents.
It throws down lightning bolts in front of it before every battle. This is primarily meant for dramatic flair, as Hawlbuzz prefers to use its physical prowess in battle over projectiles.
Hawlmar is found primarily in areas with active volcanic activity. A favorite pastime (and method of showboating) for Hawlmar is to leap from on high into a pool of lava, leaping out and shaking off the molten liquid, unharmed and unfazed.
Its sharp eyesight allows it to detect even the faintest twitch of movement from its opponent, giving it exceptional reaction speed to attacks. It uses its tiny frame to dodge attacks until the foe is too exhausted to avoid its counterstrikes.
It shuffles and trots in place, rubbing its fur together to create a static charge that makes its tail shine brightly. This bright glow serves as the backdrop lighting for its dramatic moves in combat.
Hawlossom are much more passionate about observing battles than participating in them. If many gather together to watch a fight, their supportive dances and cheers can even bolster the strength of the combatant being cheered for.
It stands stock-still in battle, waiting for an opponent to make a move it can counter. When the chance arises, it devastates the attacking foe with dramatic jump strikes and stunning throws.
Hawlflora absorbs sunlight so that it may produce a bright shine like a spotlight on command. It does this to support allies in battle, providing dramatic lighting to give their performance added flair.
Hawleon has slight precognitive capabilities, which it uses to its advantage in battle. The gem on its forehead shines briefly when it successfully counters a move it saw in advance.
Hawlkrow challenges others of its kind to combat, with the loser forced to give up prized possessions to the winner. The fighting may be honorable, but the items fought for are often ill-gotten gains.
Some say the head on its back half is its evil side. While a bit playful, it does seem that while Hawlfarig wants to fight honorably, its back end seems to encourage the use of dirty tactics.
Hawlrow tries to sneakily poach the belts away from others of its species. Direct fights are uncommon, as Hawlrow considers a successful steal as a stronger example of its prowess.
It only shares the feathers it molts with those it deems to have an honorable spirit. People believe accessories made with Hawlmory feathers grant the owner a boost to vitality.
When readying itself for battle, Hawlpy will blow a tune with its trunk, hyping itself up with a personal theme. It will compose additional themes for its allies when it observes their battles.
Hawlphan has been observed taking in stray Phanpy and tutoring them in its ways. In particular, it teaches them how to roll and unfurl from said roll with the maximum amount of dramatic flair.
Hawltler is always itching for a good brawl to keep itself in shape. If no others seem in the mood to practice with it, it will use faint hypnotic powers from its antlers to stoke their fighting spirit and make them raring to fight.
Hawltank's size and robust body make it a potent powerhouse in combat, good for any Trainer's team. However, most find themselves quickly put off by its victory celebration, where it sprays milk above the heads of it and its teammates.
The vines comprising its wings and back flutter in the wind, giving the illusion of a cape. This illusion lulls foes into forgetting they are just as prehensile as the rest of Hawlgrowth, giving it an opportunistic advantage.
In combat, it moves with practiced and calculated grace and strength. Those who have observed Hawllia in battle are torn between describing its movement as fighting or dancing.
Hawleon has a distaste for using its camouflage abilities unless absolutely necessary. Hunters that think it will be easy prey because it stands out will be taught otherwise when grappled and tossed aside by its prehensile tongue.
Hawlqueen is protective of all the young Pokémon in its domain, considering itself their guardian. It makes sure they watch its fights, so it can extol virtues of strength and honor as well as teach them self-defense.
Some naysayers believe Hawlsol causes disasters just so it can look like a hero saving people from them. This is patently false; Hawlsol simply believes it can help people and look cool while doing so, but rescue is always the first priority.
Often called "The King of the Ring," Hawlking is incredibly bombastic and lives for the spectacle of battle. It only fights with opponents it knows will give it a challenge, as a fight that ends too fast is no fight at all.
Hawlpix uses its flame powers to force an opponent's movements in battle. It flings fireballs from its six tails to make them dodge and dip around until they're in the perfect spot for Hawlpix to land a critical strike.
Hawlki consistently practices its battle techniques in order to add more flair to its movements. On occasion, it will steal trinkets from passersby, refusing to return the objects until they watch it show off its new moves.

Most find Hawlbish endearing for its strong sense of justice and friendship, and its eagerness to prove itself in battle. Because it practices its moves in garbage dumps, however, its friends must learn to endure its pungent stench.
It grants water and safe travels to those lost within the desert sands, then disappears like a mirage. As those reporting it were exhausted survivors, Hawlturne was thought to be a hallucination until recent times proved it to exist.
It can create cold gusts of wind to chill and slow its opponents in battle. It also has the side effect of making Hawlrorus's wing-like flaps flutter in the wind, giving it a dramatic flair that it relishes.
It seems generally unresponsive to outside stimuli, but if fierce battles take place in front of it, it can be observed shifting slightly with the faintest of lights flickering within its hollow eyes.
Its eyes are alight with the fighting spirit burning from within. Hawlor charges into foes with full-bodied tackles from the air, impacting with force akin to a falling meteor.

Hawlsprout likes to get up close and personal in battle, assailing foes with spinning jump kicks and karate chops from above. Because of its leaf arms and spindly root legs, these strikes aren't as effective as it would like.
The poses it strikes in battle are controlled by the Shellder on its tail, biting on specific nerves to trigger a reflexive movement from Hawlbro. In victory, the Shellder even makes Hawlbro take a bow.
Its wings are tucked away and barely visible, too small to achieve flight. Combined with Hawlduo's running leaps, however, it can manage to glide for exceedingly long distances.
Hawleel is a common sight in circuses and water parks, reveling in the joy of entertainment. Aquatic acrobats and acts of juggling are its forte.
Hawlgar likes to haunt venues where nighttime Pokémon battling is common. It loves to interrupt fights with its sudden appearance, taking on both sides of the initial battle at once and turning the moment into a true spectacle.
Hawlnix's small arms are deceptively strong, allowing it to grip onto rock walls with ease. It uses this to help it strike from ceilings and make more acrobatic maneuvers when fighting in its cavernous home.
The leaves that grow on Cacslash's back are nutritious and contain a lot of moisture within. It offers them to desert travelers to help keep them hydrated beneath the sweltering sun.
It forms its body into intricate castles to impress onlookers. The castles come with extra details depending on the Sandyvee: flames, thunderclouds, moats, a sun or moon, forests, snowmen and heart motifs have been observed.
Sandypi runs about beaches and dives into sandcastles, claiming them as its new home. It cries and flings sand at those who would try to remove it from its castle.
The mushrooms growing on Patu are used to help with poor eyesight, but care must be taken when consuming. If not properly steeped before eating, a person may not be able to blink for some time afterward.
The mushrooms on its back exhibit a different parasitism than the norm. The mind seems unaffected, but the nutrients drained from the body leave Pakoth perpetually lethargic.
Paloon hides in the canopy of trees and dangles a lure to the ground below. Unsuspecting Pokémon that grab it are whisked up above to be infected by Paloon's spores.
The mushroom it holds spreads highly soporific spores when shaken. As its target becomes drowsy, Pabra uses this lull in mental defenses to begin siphoning intelligence from the victim's mind.
Having reached the pinnacle of intellect, Pakazam no longer needs to drain the minds of other beings. Yet it continues to do so, as the act itself has become an addictive thrill it cannot resist.
It practices music endlessly, trying to create the perfect melody. Its haggard appearance is due to using a Pokéflute to practice, ensuring it will not sleep until it finds that special song.
Many Melolax have perfected their song in the form of a beautiful lullaby. They continue to play this music even as they rest, perpetuating their sleep endlessly and drawing those near to join them in slumber.
With its mind completely taken over by the parasitic fungus, Parabone no longer feels sorrow or loss. It only feels the instinctive need to hunt others to infect with its spores.
It's never seen feeding, but has been observed constantly licking trees and grassy ground as it ventures forth. Within a week, the spots Paratung licked will be overrun with fungi.
Though infected by a parasite, maternal love still shines forth, now directed at young Paras. Ironically, Parakhan tries its best to make sure the Paras it raises never evolve and have their mushrooms overtake them.
It transforms its body in order to replicate the forms of others it wishes to infect. Because it cannot get rid of the mushroom on its body even while transformed, however, none are fooled by the attempted deception.
The mushroom cap aids in protecting the cocoon, while the mushroom itself infects the developing Pokémon within. The cocoon thrashes violently as it does so, before becoming perfectly still.
Paraflora traipses around forests, looking to spread spores onto other living beings. The spores are harmless, only causing those contacted to feel sudden jubilation, unable to stop smiling for a few hours.
When observed, the marks on its torso seem to shift and undulate to draw in curious prey. Once within range, Parabok ejects large amounts of toxic spores onto the hypnotized victim.
As it draws energy from ambient static, it sheds spores in a manner akin to electric sparks. Should lightning strike Parakou, a huge burst of spores will erupt and infect all life in a wide radius around it.
Parachu tends to sit completely motionless until something biological moves near, whereupon its tail reacts instinctively, stunning prey with whipping and electric jolts before wrapping around and dragging them closer to be infected.
Parawile stands stock-still until something living happens near it, whereupon it snatches them up in its false jaws. A few hours later, it spits them back out, the victim sporting grotesque mushroom growths.
Beneath the cap lies the nearly-dried husk of the infested Shroomish. Paraish lays dormant until something touches it, spreading a burst of spores to infect and drain its next victims.
The mushrooms have siphoned away the mind and body of Paras rapidly, leaving it almost a husk. In this weakened state, Pararas are often easily hunted, doomed due to the parasites' hunger.
Three heads exist, but only the newly-formed mushroom has something resembling a brain or consciousness. If removed, it will simply transform one head into another mushroom, and grow a new false head.
Hakaron toughens itself up by butting heads with others of its kind. It strikes with enough force to break its scales, which grow back tougher, strengthening both rivals as they spar.
Wimtik feeds on small bits of electricity siphoned from household appliances. If spotted in the act of feeding it retreats immediately, spreading small bursts of sparks as it runs.
Golidisc swims placidly in its waters, drifting away from conflict if spotted. If pushed into combat however, it's no slouch; its many arms have enough strength to hurl a Blastoise with ease.
It crashes into cave walls in order to knock loose any jewels in the wall or ceiling so it can eat. Its efforts regularly cause cave-ins, but it simply digs its way out of the rubble and looks for a new cave.
When multiple Carras gather, they create aurora-like light shows above them using lights from the crystals on their bodies. These rare and beautiful sights are considered one of the greatest natural wonders of the world.
Cartata derives sustenance from eating rock and stone from their cavernous homes. Enamored by sparkling things, any gems found while eating are hoarded in its nest.
Though it can fire weak light beams from its crystals, Carrogue prefers close-quarters combat. It trains by striking stone walls repeatedly, forming cracks across its body as proof of its dedication.
It uses its pick to dig deep in caverns for rare jewels. It's believed that it does this because consuming the gems increases its intellect and psychic powers.
Carlem's diamond-like shell is considered one of the sturdiest substances known to humans at this time. It's theorized it could even survive the pressure and heat of the planet's core.
The first to encounter Carpoke in the wild thought it was nothing more than an intricate statue until it responded to touch. Carpoke is so absentminded it simply forgets to move throughout most of the day.
Some have claimed Carnix was the infamous "Crystal Onix" local folklore spoke about until proven otherwise. Living deep underground has hardened its stone and crystals to the point of being near impervious.
Venosey's eggs have a fine, fuzzy texture similar to its own hairs, though they are no less nutritious or delicious when eaten. Consuming them regularly is said to be particularly effective at combating allergies.
Rival Venoros establish hierarchy by shaking their bodies and releasing a cloud of tiny hairs from their mane. The one that creates the bigger cloud is considered the superior.
A faint scent emitted by Venopoke's hairs induces drowsiness and contentment in those who smell it. Many enjoy using it as a pillow to nap on, which Venopoke doesn't mind at all.
It generates bubbles from a small spout on its head to help keep its skin moisturized while on land. Froamer enjoys playing with others by spraying them with these foamy bubbles.
As it consumes coal and other materials, puffs of smoke rise from its head. The clouds shift into the shapes of other Pokémon, even mimicking their behavior before dissipating.
It is one of the slowest-moving Pokémon recorded; a Torcargo moving at top speed for 24 hours would travel only a scant ten feet at best.
Its umbrella radiates heat to keep it warm while shielding its body from volcanic ash in the air. It's known for being elusive, walking out from the smokescreen it billows, and vanishing into those same clouds.
It pokes its head out of the stone body in order to eat or release large amounts of steam. Some resorts in Hoenn have taken to employing them as a part of their saunas.
Its gears churn slowly but steadily to give it life energy, releasing small bits of smoke as it does so. Some liken the sound it makes to the slow chug of a steam engine.
The spinning gears generate steam to dissipate excess heat. The main gear stores intense pressure within, releasing it to launch the other gears forward in self-defense.
It lengthens the distance of its leaps by expelling vast amounts of smoke from its nostrils to propel it further. The smoke takes on an appearance similar to wings, making Torbat appear to be flying.
Archaeologists believe Tortrum may have been the apex being within ancient volcanic regions. A long neck, powerful jaws, a sturdy shell and smoke production all combined to make it a formidable prehistoric hunter.
It flexes before every attack, expelling smoke from the holes in its shell as it does so. The more holes emitting smoke, the stronger the attack it's about to unleash.
Despite having a low top speed, Torta prides itself on its galloping ability. What appears to be smoke billowing from it is actually a soft, ashy fur.
All three heads possess the capacity to breathe out steam, but as the center head is the most temperamental of the bunch, it is the one most associated with and seen using the ability.
Gourkoth's slow, faint singing carries a curse that afflicts those who hear it. Victims of the hex become greatly lethargic for the next 7 days.
Gourtrum was a nocturnal terror of the ancient world, hunting prey in the dead of night. The fluid leaking from its hollowed-out torso was a toxic substance meant to mark territory and warn rivals and trespassers.
Gourchamp takes a prized possession from every foe it bests in combat, hoarding it in large pumpkins it personally carves. The greater the hoard, the higher its status among its kind.
An ethereal flame burns beneath the head, allowing Gourchamp to function even without its cranium. All attempts made to douse this otherworldly fire have failed.
Its fur is consistently sweet in both aroma and taste, and Swirsian's sweet tooth cannot resist the allure. What appears to be constant grooming is just Swirsian ceaselessly tasting its own sugary flavor.
Delicious desserts naturally grow on top of Slursaur's body, replenishing any consumed portions overnight. Many bakeries use them as mascots and ways to offer free samples.
Despite its towering size, Digdos is more docile than a first glance would suggest. It only turns aggressive should trespassers ignore warnings and intrude upon the Diglett nesting areas it protects.
It often burrows up into farms to steal crops that might ease its aching head. Because of its pitiful expression as it does so, most farmers can't bring themselves to chase it off.
Shards of the crystals on its body splinter away should Dianhorn hit a wall too forcefully. These discarded pieces have begun to become popular material for accessories in mountainous regions.
Dianchoke is lavish to the extreme when expressing affection, showering those it adores with shiny gifts and sweeping gestures. Its elaborate displays inspire romantics who wish to propose in a grandiose manner.
Its been observed that after a Luvorb explodes in the wild, the breeding rate of other Pokémon sees a sharp increase for a time. It's believed that a certain type of Pokéball is based on Luvorb's appearance.
